Two of the most widespread issues affecting ESRD patients are protein-calorie malnutrition and vitamin absorption. Pro-Stat RC is the first ready-to-use liquid protein supplement to provide 15 grams of hydrolyzed complete protein in each one fluid ounce (30ml) serving, together with B vitamins (see below), zinc and FOS (for pre-biotic intestinal health).

Protein

15 grams of hydrolyzed complete protein to reduce protein energy/calorie malnutrition, build muscle, repair tissue, fight infections and reduce overall morbidity/mortality.

Vitamins

• 0.75 mg Vitamin B-1 (Thiamine) that enhances circulation, helps with blood formation and metabolism of carbohydrates, assists in digestion, reduces fatigue, reduces edema and general weakness.
• 0.85 mg Vitamin B-2 (Riboflavin) that is helps the body use oxygen, metabolizes amino acids, fatty acids and carbohydrates, assists in red blood cell formation and antibody production, and produces healthy skin, hair and nails.
• 10 mg Vitamin B-3 (Niacin) that helps in the release of energy and metabolism of carbohydrates, fat and protein.
• 5 mg Vitamin B-5 (Pantothenic Acid) that assists in the release of energy as well as the metabolism of fat, protein and carbohydrates. Beneficial for healthy skin, muscles and nerves.

Probiotics

• 475 mg FOS ( fructo-oligosaccharide) is referred to as a prebiotic because it stimulates the growth of healthy intestinal bacteria. This is a good benefit due to the intestinal toxins created during dialysis and poor kidney function.
